Kraig, (owner, and artist) started his whole career journey under his mentor and friend in 2019. In the timeframe of his apprenticeship, with a lot of dedication, an open mind, and a lot of help and guidance from his friends, he learned much of what he knows now, especially the health safety for everyone involved, and to do things the right and proper way. If any single thing he is thankful for most its that. He still holds the health safety to the highest regard, as does his mentor and friend. 

Shifting Tides wasn't even "in the works" until it was. This shop went through a lot of changes on its road to being what we are today. There were set-backs, and unforeseen things that looking back now realizing that it all guided a hand to shaping this shop into a reality. A lot of things pushed opening back and even almost made it impossible. Kraig however, with a lot of guidance and advice from family, friends, and his mentor, with each helping in any way they could, he refocused and made it a goal.  Determined to pursue this path and open a shop even with all the hardships and what seemed like every obstacle to hurdle. The name itself is just a reflection on all that came to pass from start to finish. "Shifting Tides" like the everchanging  obstacles and challenges that were encountered along the way, and having to shift the tide to overcome them all. 

With a vision, family and friends seeing that vision and helping shape it, Shifting Tides finally opened on October 14th, 2022. 

Kraig, our Owner & Founder has so many family members and a few great friends to thank for everything leading to this shop opening. Things big and small, that helped keep this dream alive and help bring it into reality.

As of now, we are dedicated to continuingly becoming a cornerstone in the local community for anyone looking for a tattoo or piercing, while knowing that the highest regard and care will greet them from the moment they walk in. 

We also want and plan to be active in the local community with helping with local needs.  Donating time and resources to help achieve goals of local organizations that help people in need, or local sports teams, helping raise funds for various needs across the county.

1st year-

*As we are updating this, a year into business, looking back at our first year and all the new faces and returning clients that have become a part of our family here. The growth of our artists, bringing in Ron-Eric as an artist,  just brings the overall environment and experience to something incomparable to any other tattoo shop to anyone coming here. 

2nd year-

We've had a lot of changes during our 2nd year. Adam Joining us, Ron-Eric moving forward with his career, as well as Jozlyn making major moves with her Apprenticeship, and Alexus joining us and starting her Apprenticeship.  Our Team has had some changes over year two, but they have been positive and as a whole, led to great things. We had a record year with new clientele and people finding their way to our shop. Building the level of trust with returning "family" as well. 

Jozlyn's continued growth as an artist is impressive to watch, as she is quickly becoming better each day. She's pushing herself as an artist and is excelling. Gaining more of a "regular" clientele and taking on more intricate pieces as she moves forward. She's nearing earning her certificate of completion for her apprenticeship.

Alexus has been steadily gaining on techniques and has some of the most solid work from an apprentice that we've seen. Growing in confidence each day, from the work she's putting out, she as well is pushing herself in her work as an artist. 

Both Jozlyn and Alexus have been a welcomed presence to our shop with the attitude, demeanor, and hard-working dedication for the craft that they each bring to our environment and our team. Shifting Tides has been bettered by each of them joining our team. Our team who all put clients first, has a health and safety first mindset, and carries the integrity as a standard here. 

We look forward how far we will continue to grow as a team, and a shop during our 3rd year.

Without the community and clients ("Family") we see on a regular basis, we wouldn't have had  as amazing of a first two years as we've had. Thank you from all of us here at Shifting Tides Tattoo.
